Quick verdict

The Ode Gen 2 is a filter-coffee grinder, and Fellow says so plainly: it is designed for brewed coffee methods, not espresso. Within that lane it pairs 64 mm flat burrs with single dosing, auto-stop and a knocker. It suits pour-over and drip drinkers who never plan to add espresso. If you might, look at the Opus 2 or a 64 mm grinder that covers espresso too.

Buy it if

  • You brew pour-over, drip, AeroPress, French press or cold brew only.
  • You want to single dose with flat burrs.

Skip it if

  • You make espresso, or might.
  • You need a narrow grinder that is also short; it is 239 mm deep.
