What independent testing found
CoffeeGeek's first look found espresso doses of around 18 g took about 45 seconds. It called the X-Ultra capable but "not quite as specialised" as the J-Ultra, and said pour-over grinding felt quicker and easier (CoffeeGeek). The review measured the hopper at up to about 31 g. It criticized a handle that sometimes needed several tries to lock, a magnetic catch cup that can come loose, and dial markings that are hard to read in poor light. CoffeeGeek's 2025 manual grinder guide made it the top versatile pick (CoffeeGeek).
