- Smaller steps are easier to dial in. 8 µm (J-Ultra) and 12.5 µm (X-Ultra) steps give finer control than about 25–30 µm (Comandante, per a retailer).
- External dials let you switch between espresso and filter without taking the grinder apart. The C3 ESP Pro and Comandante adjust internally.
